Today could have been one of those where I talked myself out of exercising because I didn't think I had the time. Thanks for the 20 minute option Oriana! Feel good about my day now.
3 weeks postpartum and I needed some TILT so bad! So while my little guy napped this morning, I got in the warmup and arms. That's my focus this week. I'll slowly and gently add more as I'm ready. It feels so good to be TILT'ing even just a little ☺❤#TILTmama
Reason 2747 that I love TILT: If I want to really work on my physique daily, I'm not living in a constant state of hideous soreness! I'm still getting results wo having to limp around stiff and tight like I've been killing it at the gym. This directly benefits my *ahem* SEX LIFE!!! I get to work out, but can enjoy my body's limberness and bendiness instead of thinking "ow ow ow! OMG I CANNOT bend like that until I'm less sore". Trust me, I've been enjoying this major difference between TILT and all other workouts
Why I love Tilt reason #576: I made it thru the holidays and enjoyed and indulged as much as I wanted and still weigh 1/2 lb lighter than I did last weigh-in. Negligible amount, yes, but bc of Tilt I remained active injury-aside and stayed MOTIVATED to remain responsible in the kitchen and not over-do any of my indulgences <3 That's why this is the best, those puppet strings follow you into all areas of daily life.
TILT is truly magical! When I finish a TILT workout, I am literally glowing inside and out! It's not just sweat. I feel good and connected to my body. The movements are tough but none of my energy is wasted on endless high reps. The extended stretching is blissful. At the end of a class, I feel relaxed, energized, and experience an endorphin rush like nothing else. TILT has not bothered my fibromyalgia.
I struggle w anxiety real bad and on sat morning I was feeling agitated and tense. My husband even asked if I was ok. I thought I'd take a Xanax which is what I usually do to battle the brain but I also just wanted a moment to breath and create space in my day for just myself. So I tilted instead :)watched 2 episodes of Gilmore girls (I enjoy tv way too much, I'm working on it!!) while flowing thru the tilt moves that I have been working on. I didn't need to medicate my feelings that day! I felt so much better! TILT was the perfect solution to getting a 'me moment', getting rid of some of excess energy, refocusing my mind, and burning some calories!;)
Finally, the mindset of TILT is important to me. The technique does reshape the body but there is no pressure to get teeny tiny. So many workouts push physical improvements that it was a relief and encouragement to know that you cared about my total wellbeing and not just about me losing an inch from my hips. The time we took at the end of class to thank our bodies was really beautiful and inspiring.
Last night, my guy was dealing with anxiety and he usually has to jump around or run around the block and I asked if he wanted to join me in a Tilt class... it was his first experience and so it was a challenge and was great for him! He enjoyed and asked if he could secretly go along with me during challenge, lol. Anxiety gone!
I love that I can do it anywhere anytime and if I'm limited on length of time I can just do the basic stretch routine and work in other exercises throughout that day as the baby is napping.
A lot of workouts I have tried have caused painful flareups. With TILT I find my body is letting go of tension, my posture is improving, and I'm gaining strength and flexibility. I feel sexy, beautiful, and alive. And all of this while pregnant with my first baby! I also don't have to leave for the gym or buy equipment.
I just wanted to say Oriana Leo you are a very good teacher. I like that you always teach good form with each move. Thank you also for reminding us how to do the moves correctly to make sure there are no injuries. I had a very good workout today and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
My posture has immensely and beautifully improved. The posture techniques I have learned have made the single biggest difference in my daily life, and especially my comfort during pregnancy. I find I even let myself be "pulled from above" when I'm sleeping. Checking in often with the posture technique instantly allows me to relax my body; I notice I breath deeply into my stomach and my anxiety and stress reduces.
